Always looking for ways to streamline production, the Spectrum Video team fabricated the Just in Case teleprompter, which is lightweight and easy to set up.
Basically, in the time it takes to start your laptop, the Just in Case is set up and ready to go.
Just in Case is compact and great for traveling to on-location video productions.
Here’s all we need, the prompter case, C-stand with pin, laptop, AC plug and HDMI cable.
Simply place the prompter case on the C-stand.
Open the Pelican type case and raise the built-in side flaps. The teleprompter glass is built in the lid.
Then, raise the flaps where the camera goes.
Plug in the HDMI or VGA cable and power cord.
Place the camera on the rear side of the teleprompter.
On-camera talent can look directly at the camera instead of above, below, left or right of camera. And, the talent doesn’t see the camera, which can help put them at ease.
Spectrum uses a Mac laptop and went to the App Store and found several types of teleprompter software and picked one that suited our needs.
